8 ways to become one of the top student in class/school.

I know it's not easy being a child in Singapore. From the application of school after each graduation to jobs requires a look into individual's certificates and results. Children nowadays juggle more than what they can actually handle.

Being the child with a good grades don't come easy in our current society. Only those who do well with good grades, will sail the journey much easier. But the question is always there for us - How do those children actually study so well?

Follow these 8 simple steps to achieve more in your studies!

1. Treat your studies like they will get jealous.
You leave them, they will do the same to you. You need to keep going back to those books and formulas in order to do better. You don't flip those books, they will be forgetting each other very soon.
So go back to the books again and again to keep the relationship.

2. Get a good teacher/tutor.
Having someone good at it to teach you is a one-way fast tracks to progress. These people have the resources and the easiest way to help you get across those difficult questions that you have never understand. Find the good and the right one for yourself.

3. Aim for 90, not just 75.
Ever miss your target by that few marks? Yes, you do missed it at least once. Set a higher target so that you will work the extra mile for it. Hitting the usual score range won't make you work harder for more. As things gets harder, the score you'll get will drop too.

4. Use the basic to do the tough questions.
All you need is the right formula. It's given to you and you're still not good at it. It could be the basics then. The understanding of the basic formula is very important as they leads you to your answers. Knowing them well means winning half the battle.

5. Time wait for nobody.
You need to know means you really need to know. School will be teaching fast and you need to make sure you know the topics at your finger tip before moving on so as to avoid the piling up of your work. The more you don't understand, the more work you have to do to catch up.

6. Speak up.
No body can read your mind. The problem you're facing is best bring across when you voice it out. Tell your teacher/tutor your problem on the topic and/or questions. They will be more than willing to help you out on your problems than playing hide-and-seek with your mind. So, go out there and ASK!

7. Every mark counts.
Stop telling yourself that it's only 1 mark. When all this small little marks adds up, it can be a GRADE difference. When you need that 1 mark for an A or a 100%, you'll really regret adopting such mentality.

8. Practice Self-Confidence mentality.
It feels really good to be one of the top student in class/school. When you experienced it once, keep it up! Keep aiming to be the next top student, it gives you the mentality to fight for more. Such mentality will cause you to keep up your good work, love the subject, wanting to practice more, etc.

There's so many good points of being at the top as it really gains you more interest in your work than what you can imagine. Working hard for it is a must. The only difficult step to do is which stepping stone are you going to pick for your route to the top!

Cheers,
